Sauðárkrókur Campsite

The campsite in Sauðárkrókur is located next to the swimming pool, near the town center. The camping ground is open from the beginning of May until the end of September. A new service house is next to the campsite. The service house has warm and cold water, showers, toilets, a washing machine upon request, and we also have good access for the disabled. It is also possible to connect to electricity and to dispose of waste from mobile homes. The site is only a short walking distance from museums, the swimming pool, grocery store, bank, restaurants and cafes. There is also a bouncy playground and beach volleyball court next to the campground.

Sölvanes

Sölvanes is a traditional sheep farm located in a beautiful valley of Skagafjördur, North Iceland. It is 20 km South of Varmahlíð, by road 752 leading to Sprengisandur. Sölvanes is very much a family affair, run by Rúnar Máni and his wife Eydís, both from North Iceland. In addition to the daily farm operation, Sölvanes Farm offers cozy bed and breakfast in the Old Farm House that can accommodate up to 10 guests at once, who can enjoy a home cooked dinner upon request.
