Skagafjörður has an endless number of natural treasures, from the mountaintops to the sea and islands, from the glacial ice in the south to the outermost tips of land in the north. To take a closer look at some of this beautiful natural treasures it’s sometimes best to take a boat tour and get a good look at everything from the sea side.
In the bay of Skagafjörður we’ve two islands, Drangey and Málmey, and the peninsula Þórðarhöfði. All 3 of them have something special to offer from amazing basalt formations, bird life, historical stories and just overall amazing natural beauty.
