The small town of Hólar is one of the most interesting in Iceland due to long history and the beautiful nature of Hólar. The campsite is surrounded by one of the few forests that Iceland has to offer, and it gives great shelter and a cozy atmosphere. There are many hiking trails leaving from Hólar, both for short as well as longer trails.

Sauðárkrókur Campsite

The campsite in Sauðárkrókur is located next to the swimming pool, near the town center. The camping ground is open from the beginning of May until the end of September. A new service house is next to the campsite. The service house has warm and cold water, showers, toilets, a washing machine upon request, and we also have good access for the disabled. It is also possible to connect to electricity and to dispose of waste from mobile homes. The site is only a short walking distance from museums, the swimming pool, grocery store, bank, restaurants and cafes. There is also a bouncy playground and beach volleyball court next to the campground.
